It is normal for a wooden hot tub to seep some water for the first few days as it swells tight. Wood is a living material and just like a wooden boat, the wood swells in the presence of water to form a tight seal.
Please note:
At this time it is not recommended to tighten bands of the hot tub.
The timber must be able to absorb enough water and the hot tub swells tight.
If the leaking doesn`t stop within 3-4 days:
* Fill in only about 10 cm of water and leave the hot tub to stand overnight. The bottom swells tight.
* After fill the hot tub with water continue filling in 10 cm steps. The wood absorbs the water and the hot tub swells tight.
